This one-year project, sponsored by Voice Global and guided by YEI, targets young women (aged 15-35) to empower them to challenge oppressive traditions that lead to Gender-Based Violence (GBV), particularly violence against women and children (VAWC).
Activities:
- Provide training on combating brutality against women, entrepreneurship, and self-defense.
- Strengthen the capacity and internal systems to encourage reporting of gender-based violence incidents.
- Conduct campaigns on social media platforms, radio discussions, and community dialogues to raise awareness and drive understanding.
- Assist victims of gender-based violence incidents and contribute to the implementation of gender-based violence policies.
YEI’s efforts are commendable in addressing crucial issues like gender-based violence, education, and youth empowerment. By focusing on advocacy, training, and collaboration, they aim to create a better future for the youth in Tanzania.
